By Michael Dunlop’s MD Racing team have unveiled their 2016 roads colour scheme.
The independent outfit’s S1000RR BMW features a striking black, turquoise blue and red livery.

It’s still to be confirmed as to the machinery Michael will be piloting in the MD Racing colours, in the supersport races around the Triangle, the Mountain Course and Dundrod, It’s looking likely though that he will be either YZF R6 Yamaha or CBR 600 Honda mounted.
Michael opens his 2016 roads campaign, at the Vauxhall International North West 200. His current record around the Triangle includes four victories, plus at present he is the second fastest rider in history, at the Giant Causeway based meeting.
Will he add to his current tally of four victories? in my opinion we all know the ability, talent, drive and determination that Michael has, it’s just a question of how competitive his machinery will be.
Same notion applies to TT 2016, he’s a maestro of the Mountain Course, but many of his rivals have in my opinion going into this years TT Races, more high spec machines.
Of course machinery does not at times make 100 percent the difference at the most famous road race in the world, but it can play a significant factor, in particular in modern times, given how close the competition is.
Having had by his standards an ultra challenging 2015 season on the roads, Michael goes into his upcoming international road racing challenge, determined to re establish himself as the world’s leading pure road racer.

In my opinion this is a huge possibility this could happen this year, but there is also the possibility that many of his contemporaries could enjoy ground breaking moments a plenty.
The aurora around the pure road racing genius is still there, but the invincibility factor that he had in mid 2012, 2013 and 2014, has gone.
One thing you are always guaranteed with Michael Dunlop, is excitement and all out action, we all know when he is at his best, he is as good as unbeatable at any road race he competes at.
