TT wins record holder Michael Dunlop, will continue to dabble with EWC (Endurance World Championship) action in 2025, riding for Poland’s first full-time series exponents, Team LRP Poland (founded in 2009, originally as the Hammel Racing Team).
Bartłomiej Lewandowski’s squad will run ‘Maverick’ alongside 2018 IRRC Superbike Champion Danny Webb and Enzo Boulom at Le Mans in April (19th-20th) with the trio astride M1000RR BMW tackle, prepared by the team’s chief technical officer, Marcin Kolanowski.
First taking in EWC stints in 2013, when forming part of the iconic Honda TT Legends outfit, Ballymoney roads hero Dunlop, crowned this month Irish Motorcyclist of The Year for the second time, returned to endurance racing in 2024, finishing 16th overall at Le Mans alongside Team TRT 27 AZ Moto team-mates Ben Luxton, Tom Oliver and Tom Ward.
Tipped to be stateside in March for the prestigious Daytona 200, ‘MD’ is making sure he’s super bike fit ahead of international road racing expeditions.
More miles in the saddle can only help the sharpness of the Supersport, Super Twins Mountain Course lap-record holder, who is determined to regain this June, Superbike TT spoils, he last snapped up in 2023.
It does seem that he will either be Honda or Ducati mounted for big-bike TT quests, but as-yet the mystery is still to be fully unravelled.
