Manx Grand Prix Debut Beckons For Leicester’s Shuttlewood

Ambitious up coming roads exponent Ben Shuttlewood is aiming to next year compete for the first time, at the Manx Grand Prix.

Impressive in his first full season of roads competition, Leicester’s Shuttlewood has in particular caught the eye of many at Oliver’s Mount.

Since making his roads debut in April at Scarborough, at the Bob Smith Spring Cup National Road Races, he’s steadily developed into a rising star of England’s only real roads venue.

Twice second in the Junior B races of the Cock O’The North meeting, he went onto amass series of very creditable results during the 67th Scarborough Gold Cup, closely matching the pace of many more experienced exponents of the ‘Mini TT’.

Outside of the mount, Ben has also impressed this year at the Southern 100, where he finished a fine fourth in the Supersport C race, finishing under 0.2 of a second behind third place finisher Mark Pattinson.

Remaining part of the KY-JAX Racing set up for 2018, the undoubted planned main highlight of next season will be making his maiden bow into Mountain Course action.

With a year of roads experience under his belt, there no doubt that he has the credentials to gel nicely with a course unlike any other worldwide.
