Manx Grand Prix/Classic TT: Thursday Afternoon Practice Falls Foul To Weather

It feels like repeating a broken record, but once again the weather has outplayed the event organisers, with this afternoon’s Manx GP/Classic TT practice session called off.

With decreasing visibility, persistent rain embarking upon the Mountain Course, Clerk of the Course Gary Thompson had unfortunately had no choice but to cancel this afternoon’s practice sessions.

Speaking via Twitter, he stated:

“Further Update – Thursday afternoon. Sorry to say but as you can see from the conditions, both visibility and wet roads, this afternoon’s practice session has been cancelled.

Conditions are due to improve, so we will be closing roads at 6.00 PM for a 6.20 PM start as per schedule.”

All that’s left to say is 100 million, trillion, fingers crossed that all runs to plan this evening. I know it’s been stated before by hundreds, thousands online, but the racers desperately need track time ahead of race week, please take note weather, luck.
