Manx Grand Prix 2013 – Senior Race Preview

Rising road racing star James Cowton goes into this years senior Manx grand prix race full of confidence in that race victory is possible. James is competing on a CBR 600 Honda backed by CC engineering.

2009 senior Manx grand prix winner Michael Russell is back for this years race competing on a Ducks Cross racing R6 Yamaha. Michael is aiming to just enjoy competing in the 2013 senior Manx grand prix race.

Scott Campbell has had a good road racing season achieving consistent results at Cookstown 100 road races, Ian Watson spring cup road races and at the cock of the north road races. Scott is Yamaha mounted for the senior Manx grand prix race competing on a bike run by the Ian Bell motorcycles team.

The JDR performance racing team are set to compete in this years senior Manx grand prix with Andy Lawson on board the teams GSX-R 750 Suzuki. Andy has being a top 10 finisher at the Manx and has being a race winner this year at the Cookstown 100 road races.

Andy Farrell will be looking for a top result when competing on the Martin Bullock Manxsport GSX-R 750 Suzuki in the senior Manx grand prix race. Team mate to Andy in the Martin Bullock Manxsport team is 2011 senior Manx grand prix winner Andrew Brady.

Mike Minns has achieved podium finishes in the lightweight and junior races at the Manx grand prix and will be aiming to achieve his first podium finish when competing in this years senior Manx grand prix race on a R6 Yamaha for the Ian Bell motorcycles team.

Stephen Mcknight is also Yamaha mounted for the senior race and having achieved back to back podium finishes in the junior Manx grand prix race in 2011 and in 2012 will be confident that a podium finish in the senior race is a possibility.

Michael Sweeney is currently 8th in the Duke road race rankings championship and has impressed many this season with the results he has achieved in particular at the Mid Antrim 150 road races where Michael achieved wins in the 250 and grand final races.

Michael is competing on a R6 Yamaha for the Mick Jones racing team in the senior race at this years Manx grand prix.

MV Agusta has a presence in the 2013 senior Manx grand prix race as the Wilson & Colins racing team are running Michael Moulai on a 675 MV Agusta. The MV is a bike that is a favourite with the fans and will no doubt capture the imagination of the fans at this years Manx grand prix.

Kamil Holan won the 2012 newcomers A race at the Manx grand prix and is back this year competing on a R6 Yamaha. Kamil’s shown good form at the road races that he has competed in so far this season, Kamil could spring a surprise in the 2013 senior Manx grand prix race.

Alan Jackson has lapped at the Manx grand prix at over 122 mph and is more than capable of producing a top result when competing on the WA Corless joinery/Jackson racing Moriwaki in the 2013 senior Manx grand prix race.

Stephen Harper, Dennis Booth, Rad Hughes, Dean Roberts, Rodger Wibberley, Andy Fenton, Glenn Harrison, Paul Smyth and Colin Stephenson all have every chance of producing a top result in the senior Manx grand prix for 2013.

Gavin Lupton is currently in the top 10 of the Duke road race championship and is having a fine season of racing. Gavin is competing in the senior Manx grand prix race for the S&D racing team on a GSX-R 750 Suzuki.

Daley Mathison is one of the leading newcomers entered in the senior Manx grand prix. Daley is competing on a GSX-R 600 Suzuki backed by the Suzuki classic racing team and Lincs lifting ltd.

Connor Behan despite making his Manx grand prix debut this year will be aiming for a good result in the senior Manx grand prix, Connor’s competing for the KMR Kawasaki powered by Vauxhall team on a 636 Kawasaki.

Xavier Denis, Gaz Evans, Neil Gregory, Michael Hand, Marc Livesey, James Neesom, Petre Pop, Tom Robinson, Wolfgang Schuster, Dylan Scott, Stephen Smith, Miitri Suhonen and Warren Verwey are all entered in the senior Manx grand prix race proving the quality of the newcomers to this years Manx grand prix.

International road racing stars Alex Pickett, Terje Joensen, Thomas Gottschalk and Tapio Mustonen all add a international quality to this years senior Manx grand prix race.
