Protege of four times TT winner Chris Palmer, JLG Racing’s Jamie Williams is the next competitor to take part in Road Racing News, rising in popularity Manx GP Top 6 series.
Carrying a racing CV which includes a Junior Manx GP podium finish, top three finishes at Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough plus a very respectable 21st place finish within the 2018 Lightweight TT, his answers to the Mountain Course themed set of questions are as follows:
Q1: When you first competed at the Manx, what was your first initial thought of the Mountain Course?
“It was just hard to wrap your head around the sheer speed of the place and that first lap you do as a newcomer will stay with you forever, its what was years in the making.”
Q2: Most memorable Manx GP bike?
“Hmm has to be my trusty Honda 600, which I still have now! They just do everything you ask of them!”
Q3: Most treasured memory from the Manx?
“My Junior race podium without a doubt! Nothing comes close to being pointed into that winners enclosure.”

Q4: Is there one specific Manx GP competitor that you look up to?
“Oh yeah it has to be Billy Redmayne! He was a pure class act on and off the track.”
Q5: Describe the Manx GP in one word?
“Unforgettable”
Q6: Finally, if you could race one machine from any series, championship around the Mountain Course, what would it be?
“I have always wanted to ride a Honda 250 around the Island, it’s been a dream of mine for a long time and hopefully one day I’ll get to tick that box.”
