Manx GP Preview Part 2 – Junior Race
One of the biggest category shake ups for the new-look nine-day Manx Grand Prix, is in the Junior class with the class now catering solely for Super Twins steeds.

The upcoming four-lap Manx GP Supporters Club Junior race entry features 13 nations, nine newcomers and multiple rostrum finishing contenders.

Amongst the strong favourites for race honours include number one plate holder, Francesco Curinga.

Established as one of Italy’s foremost roads scene pilots, Curinga second in both Twins encounters at the Manx in 2019, sticks with Paton tackle for his latest Mountain Course racing expedition.

Additional global stars entered include fellow countryman Andrea Majola, Victor Lopez Santos (Spain), TC Racing’s Ivo Ladde (Switzerland), Krystian Paluch (Poland) and Wayne Bourgeais (France).

Joining the aforementioned competitors on the Super Twins class entry list include a group of hungry, ambitious next generational roads exponents, all capable of claiming top results this month.

The next gen roads talents to keep an eye on include ‘Tommy Club’ member Dan Ingham (Castings Technology Aprilia), 2018 Newcomers B race winner Michael Rees (GT Superbikes Kawasaki), Ben Rea (HeatTech Racing).

David Brook (Guildford Audio/Brook Motorsport), Jack Fowler, Liam Chawke, new KTS Racing Powered by Steadplan signing Jamie Williams and the 49th different racer to compete for VRS Racing, Andrew Fisher.

Further depth to the Lightweight field is provided by improving, experienced, returning event stalwarts such as Dafabet Racing’s Chris Moore, Jim Barnett, Wayne Axon, Nigel Rea, Pete Boast.

Marc Colvin, Team York Suzuki’s Rodger Wibberley, Paul Wardell, Paul Gartland, Steve Moody and father of Junior Classic TT winner, podcast host Dominic Herbertson, Mark Herbertson.

Not forgetting the nine Manx GP debutants competing including Irish roads front-runner Eoin O’Siochru, Southern 100 podium finisher Jack Petrie, McCrums Motorcycles supported Richard Kay and Obsession Engineering backed Martin Morris.

All in all, a well-balanced Super Twins field and one that is certain to excite, thrill fans watching trackside.
