Manx GP: Junior Classic First Twenty Starters Issued

With just over three days till the 101st Anniversary Manx Grand Prix, top twenty start number news has finally broke cover.

Today’s update centres on the reinstated Junior Classics race-voyage, title sponsored by Chris Beauman’s 2 Wheeling Classics brand.

Assigned the No.1 plate is notable class newcomer, 23 times TT winner John McGuinness MBE, set to be astride Steadplan supported Honda apparatus.

Class winner in 2019, Craven Classic Racing’s Jamie Coward follows ten seconds later.

No racer presently holds the three-plate whilst the P4 start number goes to top-line Classics racer Alan Oversby.

Rob Hodson, 2018 class topper Dominic Herbertson, Davies Motorsport’s Paul Jordan, Adam McLean linking up again as at TT 2024 with Flitwick Motorcycles, Sam West finalise the first ten starters.

Aussie ace David Johnson now a part of the Craven Classic Racing set-up, carries the eleven-plate.

At 12 it’s the first non-Honda mounted rider, Jim Hind aboard the Wiz Norton Racing ran W2000 DKW.

The CSC Racing pairing of Michael Sweeney and Alex Sinclair, respectively go at thirteen and fifteen with Hefyn Owen in between them.

Wrapping up the scheduled 1-20 starters are former World Classics Champion Glen English, Ken Rutter backed Michael Evans, Team Grantham Lodge’s Velocette equipped Rhys Hardisty, Andy Hornby and 2016 Senior race conqueror, Tom Weeden.

Others featuring within the entry-list include Conor Cummins and intriguingly Sidecar TT wins record-holder Ben Birchall.
