Macau GP: Pre Event Facts

* 12 nations are represented in the 54th Macau Motorcycle GP.

* Just one of the 15 entrants is Suzuki mounted, Paul ‘Potchy’ Williams.

* Three competitors are Honda powered including ex World Supersport ace Sheridan Morais.

* Teams making their Macau GP debuts include Rebel Racing, WH Racing and Joey Thompson’s suitors HeatTech Racing.

* It’s 25 years since the last non British winner, Andreas Hofmann.

* Kawasaki’s last event success arose in 2014 with Stuart Easton.

* Three of the last four Guia Circuit winners have used Metzeler tyres.

* Racers from Japan on the Macau GP winners list include inaugural race winner Hiroshi Hasegawa, who placed fourth within the Lightweight 250 TT of 1963.

* Suzuki have now gone 31 years since securing victory spoils at Macau.

* Absent from this year’s entry, 2019 race winner Michael Rutter, International road race victories total, stands presently at 30.

* Rutter provided Ducati with their first Macau success back in 2002.

* Combined Ron Haslam, Sadao Asami and Steve Hislop have taken twelve Macau GP wins.
