Made public today, this year’s Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix entry-list, totals twenty competitors.
Twelve nations have representation whilst four marques are-represented with over 70 percent of the entry, either BMW or Honda apparated.
Notably, no racer is Kawasaki mounted, marking the first-time in this decade, that the company which celebrates next year, 130 years since its’ launch, has no presence at Asia’s leading bike-racing street-race.
Newcomers wise, there is four Guia Circuit first-timers, as previously reported Mitch Rees (Jackson Racing Powered by Prosper2), Don Gilbert (WR Racing) and Maurizio Bottalico (Crowe Performance) plus Optimark Road Racing’s Eddy Ferre.
TT, international road racing goliaths Peter Hickman and Davey Todd both compete under the Zeeco BMW Motorrad umbrella whilst Adelaide’s David ‘Davo’ Johnson reunites with BMW metal as part of Racing for Inclusion by RVS’s two rider line-up aside 2022 race winner Erno Kostamo.
Armoy ‘Man of The Meeting’ Paul Jordan (Jackson Racing Powered by Prosper2), Oliver’s Mount Super Twins Champion Rob Hodson (SMT Racing), Michael Evans (RC Express), Lukas Maurer (Hoffmann and LM by MRP – Yamaha) all return.
As does Phil Crowe (Crowe Performance), WH Racing Team powered by Dynobike’s Marcus ‘Spartacus’ Simpson, Laurent Hoffmann (Hoffmann and LM by MRP), six-plate occupier Sam West (Moto Hub – BMW).
Paul ‘Potchy’ Williams (Lee Williams Motorsport), France’s swiftest TT exponent Amalric Blanc (Team Abel Bro), Ulster Road Race Superbike Champion Michael Sweeney (Martin Jones Racing) and Supersport Manx Grand Prix podium finisher, Isle of Wight ace Ryan Whitehall (WR Racing – Yamaha).
