Lap Records A Plenty At 2025 NZ Street Racing Opener

Lap records a plenty fell across the 2025 New Zealand, street racing opener, the Burt Munro Challenge incorporated Star Insurance NZ Hill Climb Championships.

Based in Bluff, the time-trial as I’ve stated on multiple occasions, echoes a real roads vibe, given it’s closed roads setting, specific riding skillset to be in contention for above average lap times, results.

Earlier today, swiftest outright retaining for the third successive year fastest overall spoils was Cemetery Circuit Races legend Tony Rees.

Aboard 2024 spec Fireblade Honda apparatus, Rees recorded following his final timed run, a new outright lap record of 43.747 seconds.

Second speediest behind Rees was F3 800 MV Agusta jockey, Wanaka’s Seth Devereux (44.497 seconds).

No.1 Ducati pilot Heath Botica (44.641 seconds) finished third quickest whilst in total fifteen racers dipped below the 50 seconds lap barrier.

Those not featured yet, who unlocked this feat, read as follows:

Garth Wilson (45.584 seconds), Jonny Lewis (46.118 seconds), new Super Quads lap record holder Cameron Keegan (46.475 seconds).

Kane Bray (47.307 seconds), Kim Reid (47.353 seconds), Jordan Leslie (48.067 seconds), Conrad White (48.139 seconds).
