Davey Todd is officially the 2019 IRRC Superbike series champion, after powering to a ninth big bike victory of the season in this afternoon’s ten lap Superbike race at Horice,
Steadily reeling in early pace setter, Wepol Road Racing team mate Marek Cerveny, the affable Todd grabbed the race lead at the end of lap five.
From here there was no stopping the UK’s newest International Motorcycling series champion, who went onto to take the race spoils by 1.115 seconds over a charging Didier Grams, who as in this morning’s opening Superbike encounter, recorded the fastest lap time of the race, lapping at 2 minutes 14.885 seconds.
Pole sitter, early pace setter Cerveny rounded out the podium finishers whilst fourth place was secured by lead Championship chaser to newly crowned IRRC Superbike Champion Todd, XL Moto supported Erno Kostamo.
Lukas Maurer placed fifth, David Datzer was sixth, 2012 Newcomers A Manx GP victor Kamil Holan finished seventh, whilst Performance Racing Achterhoek’s Virgil Amber Bloemhard additionally quietly impressed on route to finishing in eighth place.
Concluding the first ten finishers were Dafit Moto Racing’s Ales Nechvatal and fellow countryman Pavel Tomecek.
