IRRC Horice: MTP Racing’s Datzer Becomes Latest First Time IRRC Winner

MTP Racing’s David Datzer scored his first IRRC race victory this afternoon at Horice, after triumphing in the red flagged second Superbike race.

Prior to red flags entering the horizon on lap six, Datzer was embroiled in a gripping four way tussle for honours, with just 0.542 covering him and Lukas Maurer, Didier Grams, Marek Cerveny at the end of lap five.

With organisers electing to declare the race result based around positions towards the end of lap four, this enabled the above mentioned Datzer to claim a popular first IRRC triumph.

Superbike Championship leader Maurer took second as Wepol Racing’s Cerveny finalised the podium finishers, following BMW Motorrad supported Grams incident on lap five.

Positions 4th-6th went to Kamil Holan, multi Supersport Champion Laurent Hoffmann and top Suzuki pilot Joey Den Besten.

Whilst the remainder of the top 10 was made up by Ales Nechvatal, Eddy Ferre, Tomas Toth and Marcel Elsner.
