Showcasing again his undeniable qualities around the 5.15 kilometres long Horice course, WRP/AAB Racing’s Marek Cerveny charged this afternoon to IRRC Supersport qualifying honours.
Dominant during opening timed qualifying, Q2 would see Czech roads hero Cerveny set a best time of 2.17.570 seconds, to finish 0.756 faster than prime Championship rival, Performance Racing Achterhoek’s Jorn Hamberg (2.18.326).
Hamberg in turn was one second plus quicker than 2012 Newcomers A Manx GP winner, Kamil Holan (2.19.443).
Fourth fastest under half a second behind Holan was Team Schleizer Dreieck’s Thomas Walther (2.19.916).
Respective fifth, sixth quickest class exponents, separated by only 0.089 of a second were Karel Brandtner (2.21.353) and TT 2022 participant Ilja Caljouw (2.21.442).
Wrapping up this afternoon’s ten rapidest Supersport pilots were Michal ‘Indi’ Dokoupil (2.21.869), Wolfgang Schuster (2.22.244), Julien Cregniot (2.23.119), Sebastian Frotscher (2.23.344).
