Jorn Hamberg’s faultless weekend’s racing at Hengelo, ended in more victory spoils for the Performance Racing Achterhoek rider.
Nearing the existing Varsselring Supersport lap record, Hamberg steadily pulled away from esteemed challenger Marek Cerveny, in the second nine-lap IRRC Supersport race.
Triple IRRC Supersport Champ Cerveny kept close contact with Hamberg up till lap seven, when the Dutchman enhanced his race-lead to three seconds plus.
Post the ninth, last lap’s conclusion, Hamberg’s final race winning gap stood at an astonishing 11.076 seconds!
Joining Hamberg, Cerveny on the rostrum was TT 2022 participant Ilja Caljouw, who kept at bay the attentions of Team Schleizer Dreieck’s Gary Johnson.
Petr Najman took fifth whilst an entertaining battle for sixth was won by Sebastian Frotscher.
Thomas Wendel, Anssi Koski, Romain Cleaz Savoyen placed seventh, eighth, ninth with the final spot within the top ten secured by Rico Vetter.
Rounding out the first fifteen finishers were event wildcard Kevin Mos, Matthieu Pauchard, Never Be Clever Racing’s Rhys Hardisty, Elias Van Roekel and Mauro Poncini.
