IRRC front runner Erno Kostamo will make his North West 200 debut in May, having secured a deal to compete for Rico Penzkofer’s hugely respected Penz 13.com team.
Finland’s Kostamo, who finished third in last years IRRC Superbike series, maiden NW200 quest will see him as in recent times on IRRC (International Road Racing Championship) duty pilot S1000RR BMW machinery within the Superstock, Superbike races.
17th in last August’s Suncity Group Macau Grand Prix, there’s no doubt that the talented racer has the capabilities to gel quickly with the just under 9 miles long Triangle course.

Speaking about his first voyage into Triangle course competition, Kostamo who will compete alongside Daley Mathison and Davey Todd as part of the Penz 13.com squadron, candidly stated:
“Track time around the Triangle circuit is crucial for a newcomer. I usually like the very fast and open tracks and the North West seems very similar to my home track in Imatra.
It is an event I have always wanted to race in and I am delighted that the Penz 13 team have given me this opportunity.”
