Q1 winner Marek Cerveny, was rapidest out the blocks but was soon overhauled by an inspired Adam McLean.
Performance Racing Achterhoek’s McLean going into Frohburg with a slender three-point Championship lead over reigning Champion Cerveny, third timed lap saw him near the 1.38 seconds’ mark.
This would go onto be attained post his seventh timed lap, lapping at 1 minute 38.545 seconds.
Astonighly towards the closing points of Q2, the Tobermore rider unofficially bested Sheridan Morais class lap record (1.37.623), registering a new history making lap time of 1 minute 37.411 seconds.
Title rival Cerveny (1.38.742) took P2 on the timing screens, followed by fellow Czech ace Petr Najman (1.39.016) with twice Supersport TT victor Gary Johnson (1.39.194), BeNeLux Supersport Champion Jef Van Calster (1.39.366) keeping close tabs behind.
Former Duke Road Race Rankings victor Derek McGee (1.39.517) showed all his proven talents on route to clocking the sixth fastest time as Ilja Caljouw, Romain Cleaz Savoyen, out of retirement Virgil Amber Bloemhard, Michal Prasek obtained seventh to tenth swiftest times.
