IRRC Chimay: 25 More Championship Points For Webb, Quadruple Of Superbike Successes For Lonbois

Wepol Racing by Penz 13.com’s Danny Webb banked a further 25 all important championship points, following another scintillating, captivating battle for 1000cc honours in this afternoon’s second IRRC Superbike encounter at Chimay.

2016 series champion, event wildcard Vincent Lonbois as throughout the whole weekend, proved formidable again aboard the Viltais backed YZF R1M Yamaha, scooping a fourth successive Superbike victory by just 0.141 of a second.

Race runner up, championship leader Webb, although a touch disappointed to miss out on overall race victory, was more than happy to take another important step, towards becoming this years IRRC Superbike champion.

13 plus seconds behind rapid front runners Lonbois and Webb in third place was Didier Grams, whilst Markka Racing’s Erno Kostamo just got the better of Marek Cerveny, to claim a hard fought fourth place finish.

Jonathan Goetschy battled his way to sixth, as Christophe Guerouah, Juha Kallio, David Datzer and improving Czech roads exponent Tomas Borovka concluded the top ten finishers.
