IRRC 2026: History In Spades For New Sportbike Champion Williams

The inaugural IRRC Sportbike Champion, the Isle of Man’s first IRRC Champion, the fifteenth different IRRC Champion, Jamie Williams made history in spades this morning at Frohburg.

Attaining the IRRC Sportbike title in style, Williams (NCE Racing – Aprilia – race winning margin – 0.128 of a second) netted Sportbike Race One laurels, after a nip and tuck battle aside laps one, two and three leader Justin Hanse (Motorradtke GYTR Pro Shop by Penz 13 – Yamaha).

David ‘Datziii’ Datzer (Racetastic4 by Datziii#55 Road Racing – Aprilia) returning to IRRC affiliated competition edged Thomas Wendel for third.

Wally Jacobs (Racing Team Block – Aprilia), who’s valiant Sportbike title pursuit has finished, was seventh.

Martin Hrstka (FERT Racing Team – Aprilia) was fifth, Maxim Zanaska (Panther by Hadak Racing – Kawasaki) placed sixth whilst on a great day for the IOM roads scene, Dale Brew (AM Racing – Aprilia) made it two Manx riders within the first eight finishers.
