Nearing record Hengelo Supersport pace, Marek Cerveny began his pursuit of a seventh IRRC title in truly dominant style, ruling SSP qualifying.
This afternoon’s second qualifying burst saw Cerveny (1.49.395 – WRP Wepol Racing Triumph), finish P1 by 1.218 seconds with fellow Czech ace Petr Najman (1.50.613 – Festa Tools by Najmanmotorsport) leading the chase.
Another Czech rider Matej Vit (TME Racing Triumph – 1.52.567) showed productive form finishing fourth quickest sandwiching Performance Racing Achterhoek’s Ilja Caljouw (1.51.231) and Mauro Poncini (1.53.305).
Sixth, seventh speediest, meeting wildcard Kevin Mos (1.53.665), Rico Vetter (1.53.910) both recorded lap times inside 1.54 seconds.
Completing SSP Q2 top ten were Wesley Ankersmid (1.54.073), Never Be Clever Racing’s Amalric Blanc (1.54.800) and Sebastian Frotscher (1.56.528).
Frotscher’s Team Schleizer Dreieck team-mate Gary Johnson endured a difficult session, racking up just one timed lap.
