IRRC 2022: 40 Fastest Varsselring Speedsters

When combining lap times from IRRC Superbike/Supersport, Benelux Trophy races, over 35 racers lapped sub 1 minute 54 seconds during the past weekend’s competitive action round the Hengelo based Varsselring.

Alongside building an early 10-point Championship lead, Vincent Lonbois officially became the fastest racer in history at the Netherlands most acclaimed active road race.

On route to scoring opening Superbike encounter victory, Lonbois recorded a blistering new personal best lap time of 1 minute 45.438 seconds.

Runner-up in both IRRC Superbike races, MTP Racing’s David Datzer, swiftest lap time of 1 minute 45.555 seconds, makes him now Germany’s quickest Varsselring exponent.

Others to register lap times below 1 minute 50 seconds were Davy Thoonen (1.47.077), Performance Racing Achterhoek’s Virgil Amber Bloemhard (1.47.255), Lukas Maurer (1.47.281), Yan Ancia (1.47.581), Didier Grams (1.47.926).

Sweden’s Markus Karlsson (1.48.129), Joey Den Besten (1.48.171), Thijs Peeters (1.48.582), Eddy Ferre (1.48.764).

Laurent Hoffmann (1.48.952), Erno Kostamo (1.49.389), Patrick Hoff (1.49.559), Koen Brusten (1.49.823) and Supersport to Superbike graduate Luca Gottardi (1.49.895).

The respective 13th-40th fastest racers across the 2022 IRRC Hengelo meeting, who all banked lap times below the 1 minute 55 seconds barrier, read as follows:
