The Honda TT legends racing team have had a highly successful season of road racing. This years North west 200 saw the superbike races not run cause of bad weather but in practice at the North west 200, Michael Dunlop was fastest in superbike qualifying on the teams superbike.
So the worlds greatest road race the Isle of Man TT was next up for the Honda TT legends racing team. The superbike race would see Michael Dunlop produce a scintillating performance to win for the first time a superbike race at the Isle of Man TT. John Mcguinness recorded a third place finish, but the main highlight of the race for John was setting a stunning new Isle of Man TT lap record with a lap speed of 131.671 mph.
John Mcguinness produced a superb performance to win this years senior TT race competing on the Honda TT legends racing superbike. Michael Dunlop finished in second place making it a Honda TT legends racing 1-2 on the podium. Michael Rutter finished in a solid sixth place, Michael in the race set his fastest ever lap at the Isle of Man TT, with a lap speed of 130.6 mph.
This year saw the Honda TT legends racing team compete for the first time at the Southern 100 road races. Michael Dunlop produced a brilliant performance to win the opening superbike race at this years Southern 100, in the same race Michael set a new lap record.
Michael made it two wins out of two by winning the second superbike race, in the Southern 100 solo championship race Michael finished in a close second place. The 2013 Ulster grand prix saw Michael Dunlop produce another top performance to finish in second place in the superbike race. Michael in the same race produced the fastest lap overall at this years Ulster grand prix, with a lap speed of over 133 mph.
Its being a superb season of road racing for the Honda TT legends racing team. Having won every superbike TT race since 2011 they are firmly established as one of the best road racing teams in the modern era.
