By One of the revelations of recent seasons on the roads, the highly rated Adam McLean will embark upon an enterprising new challenge in 2018, linking up with the ambitious Team IMR (Ian Moffitt Racing) outfit.
Magherafelt’s McLean will have high spec S1000RR BMW machinery for Superstock and Superbike action next year at selected Irish national events and the international road races, which includes a second TT Races venture.
Supersport wise, he’s set to pilot the same YZF R6 Yamaha that Ian Hutchinson took to second place in the opening 600 encounter at the North West 200, whilst his Super Twins challenge will see him link up again with Roy Hanna Motors to mount a top notch 650 Kawasaki.

Speaking about joining Team IMR which enjoyed this year a solid first roads campaign with fellow rising star Paul Jordan, the quietly spoken, talented and level headed racer stated:

However, having learnt that Adam was available and after a discussion with Peter Bradley, we were able to come to an agreement on running Adam at the International road races which is hugely exciting for the team.
Adam will have a full stable of bikes to compete in the Superbike, Superstock and Supersport clases at the North West 200, TT and Ulster GP respectively with the use of our two 2017 BMW S1000RR’s as well as Ian Hutchinson’s 2017 front running Yamaha R6, which will all run on Metzeler tyres for whom we are very grateful for their support.
Adam will also compete at some of the BSB and national road races throughout the season and we are extremely excited to be working with one of today’s most talented riders in road racing.
