Thanks to Czech road racing historian, writer, statistician Jan Vavra, Road Racing News can shine a light today on the fifty fastest, Hengelo, Varsselring participants of 2025.
IRRC SBK Championship leader Adam McLean finished rapidest Varsselring newcomer and amazingly quickest overall.
McLean (1.45.966) was only 0.056 quicker than IRRC/BeNeLux Superbike winner x4, Thijs Peeters (1.46.022).
An additional eight racers, dipped below the 1 minute 50 seconds barrier, Laurent Hoffmann (1.48.791), Yan Ancia (1.48.857), Darryl Tweed (1.48.923), new Supersport lap-record clincher Derek McGee (1.49.111 – wishing Derek a speedy recovery, following incident within the second IRRC Supersport encounter).
Jorn Hamberg (1.49.119 – new BeNeLux Trophy Supersport lap record holder), Marek Cerveny (1.49.475), Fedrik Matthys (1.49.753), Mike Parmentier (1.49.853).
