Daley Mathison produced many a great performance at this years Scarborough gold cup. The rider enjoying a fantastic season of road racing began the prestigious road race meeting with third place finish in opening David Jefferies trophy race.

Next on the horizon was senior A race 1 and carrying on his impressive form from the 2014 Ulster Grand Prix in feature superbike race Daley secured fantastic second place finish on Hol Taj/team classic Suzuki superbike.
David Jefferies trophy race 2 saw the 2014 Welsh open winner at the Aberdare park road races record his third top three finish of the weekend following a good battle with Isle of Man TT lap record holder Bruce Anstey.
Second senior A race saw Daley involved in another good battle for top three position this time with 21 times TT winner John McGuinness. Third place finish was secured following a determined performance from a rider enjoying arguably his best season of road racing to date.
Although Daley crashed out of the feature Steve Henshaw international gold cup he concluded his 2014 road racing season with more top results. Looking to the future there’s no doubt the rising road racing star has every chance of running near the sharp end across all classes at the international road races.
