I’ve often stated that there is something different, unique, unparalleled about Sidecar action at Oliver’s Mount.
The spectacular nature of outfit’s going through Jefferies Jumps, viewing up close the driver/passenger’s talents, it’s an absolute must for roads fans to witness the three-wheeling fraternity at England’s only real roads circuit.
Twelve crews are all set to sample this week’s BDS Motorcycles F2 Sidecar races.
Current three wheeling Oliver’s Mount yardstick Lee Crawford, is due to link up with long time Team A.R.C outfit co-pilot, Scott Hardie.
Aboard for this year’s Gold Cup, CES (Christie Engineering Services) Suzuki powered tackle, Crawford/Hardie will be looking to increase an already top-rate Scarborough wins total, with the pair clinching between them to date, 36 race victories.
Likely lead chasers across this weekend include Oliver’s Mount Championship leaders, Steve Ramsden/Matty Ramsden (Ramsden Racing – LCR Honda).
Former TT winner Conrad Harrison joined by new wave passenger Ashley Moore (Town Garage – Ireson Yamaha), mustn’t be discounted as well from front running challenges.
Same applies to Shelbourne Yamaha runners Carl Fenwick/Phil Knapton, Greg Lambert/Andrew Haynes, Bruce Moore/Amy Dodd (RDC Motorsport) and Shaun Chandler/Ben Chandler (White Rose Racing).
Wrapping up the entry are the Irish/Manx based pairing of David Marshal/Tony Pitt, Alun Thomas/Jack Laidlow, Paul Riley/Geoff Hickey.
Liam Saunders/Ben Stell (The Royal Oak/Worleston) and James Saunders/Sarah Stokoe (Homechoice Flooring Specialists Leeds).
