The latest Sidecar driver/passenger partnership confirmed for this year’s TT Races, is the East Yorkshire duo of Gary Gibson/Tom Christie.
Driver Gibson first tackled the world’s most acclaimed, famous road race in 2017 alongside his son Daryl and went onto claim the quickest newcomers accolade.
Since then he’s neared the 110 mph lap mark and notched up three top ten finishes plus a personal best run to eighth in the opening Sidecar encounter of TT 2018.
In contrast to his Gibson Racing team mate, passenger Christie goes into TT 2022 as a newcomer to racing around the unparalleled Mountain Course.
Sixth in last year’s Molson Group British Sidecar Championship alongside Ben Holland, he’s previously raced with the likes of TT rostrum finisher Alan Founds and World Superbike race winner Chris Walker.
Christie who’s three wheeling CV also includes success at Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough with John Lowther, couldn’t hide his enthusiasm when speaking about 2022 TT affiliated action alongside fellow Beverley racer Gibson.
“I’m really looking forward to teaming up with Gary on the new CES (Christie Engineering Services) chassis.
The TT has been on the horizon the last couple years, so I cant wait to get there in May.”
