Furber To Open 2024 Roads Exploration At Spring Cup

The latest racer to officially announce his intention to begin his 2024 road racing exploration at the Oliver’s Mount Bob Smith Spring Cup, is Bishop Castle’s Barry Furber.

2023 Oliver’s Mount Super Twins Championship runner-up, Furber enjoyed last year an excellent time at England’s only active real roads circuit.

Keen to continue the progress he’s made around the tight, twisty, illustrious 2.43 miles long Scarborough circuit, he has at his disposal for the above-showcased Spring Cup meeting, the Clem Davies Racing 636 Kawasaki, and the DC (Darryl Connolly) Auto Repairs Newtown MT-07 Yamaha.

The top six finishing Super Twins TT steed is set to benefit from continued input from ex Mountain Course racer Gary Gittins, Braddan Performance set-up, helping improve the machine’s overall potency, promise.

In addition to Scarborough racing in April, Furber’s 2024 roads itinerary, includes the Briggs Equipment Northwest 200, a seventh TT Races venture astride already featured Kawasaki, Yamaha tackle and a Superstock BMW, thanks to DC Auto Repairs Newtown.

The ‘Friendly Races’ the Southern 100, the Armoy ‘Race of Legends’ and Manx Grand Prix tenures are also anticipated.
