Completing a full set of qualifying victories, Derek McGee added Supersport qualifying honours to his array of tumultuous feats from day one of competitive action, at the 2019 Faugheen 50 Road Races.
ZX6R Kawasaki mounted McGee, as in 125/Moto 3, Super Twins, Open Championship qualifying sessions, was in formidable, top calibre, world class form.

The esteemed Mullingar racer’s fastest lap time of 1 minute 17.207 seconds, placed him just over 0.430 faster than lead chaser in Supersport qualifying, Roadhouse Macau supported Derek Sheils.
A further 0.623 behind Sheils on the times sheet was Skerries Michael Sweeney (1.18.268), whilst overall just four racers lapped under the 1 minute 19 second barrier, with fourth quickest Michael Browne (1.18.797) the final competitor to achieve this accolade.
Plantscape Eireann / McIntrye Repairs Supersport race winner at Enniskillen, Darryl Tweed (1.19.629), finished fifth quickest.
Following Tweed on the times sheet was seasoned Mountain Course campaigner, Damian Horan (1.23.317), as Stephen Casey (1.23.684), Liam Chawke (1.23.960), Stephen Tobin (1.24.307), Paul Fallon (1.25.141) rounded out this afternoon’s ten fastest Supersport exponents.
