Hugely looking forward to sampling for the first time, the tight, twisty, illustrious Oliver’s Mount race circuit, Driffield’s Dan Harrison is the latest racer to confirm his intention to compete at the upcoming 68th Scarborough Gold Cup.
Harrison who has competed twice at the TT Races, competing in 2015, 2016 respectively for Ice Valley Racing and JHS Racing, maiden Scarborough racing tenure sees him join forces with Thompsons Racing to pilot high spec ZX6R Kawasaki machinery.
Keen to give a good account of himself at the two day Gold Cup meet, the East Yorkshireman candidly stated when looking ahead to this month’s race action.
“It will be my first event at Oliver’s Mount, I’m really looking forward the getting the meeting underway.
Being a local lad I know the circuit really well so I’m looking at having a progressive and positive meeting.”
Additionally commenting about his Thompsons Racing supplied, Affordable Cars Driffield backed ZX6R Kawasaki steed for his first Gold Cup expedition, he stated:
“We went to Cadwell Park a couple weeks ago for a shakedown test, to get a base setting on the ZX6R. The day went better than expected as I hadn’t been on a race bike or circuit for 12 months!
I would just like to thank John of Thompsons racing for this opportunity to compete at the Gold Cup on top spec machinery. Also Nick Stones of Affordable Cars Driffield for there support for the event.”
Reminder the 68th Scarborough Gold Cup which begins in just 16 days time, takes place from the 28th-29th of September.
