By There’s a double sponsorship boost for the FonaCAB & Nicholl Oils North West 200, following today’s announcement that Briggs Equipment and sister company, Balloo Hire are respectively title supporting the opening Superstock race and the ‘Man of The Meeting’ accolade.
Issuing reaction to the latest positive NW200 themed update, was Group Director for Briggs Equipment, Gary Clements.
“We are proud to sponsor the Superstock race at this year’s North West 200 and very excited to see the event go ahead after recent uncertainty
It’s also great to have Balloo Hire on board as sponsors of the ‘Man of the Meeting’ award.
Briggs and Balloo work very closely together within the wider Briggs group and we are delighted to support the NW200 team in whatever way we can.”
He went onto add:
“When you consider the amazing riders who have been around here in the past, it is hallowed ground. This is where legends are made.
The North West200 holds a special place in the Irish sporting calendar and its international reputation for breath-taking, world-class road racing is as strong as ever.
I have no doubt this year’s races will provide incredible thrills to emphasise once again why it’s such an important event for the region. There really is nothing like it.”
North West 200’s Mervyn Whyte, added about today’s sponsorship update:
“We are pleased and extremely grateful to have Briggs Equipment and Balloo Hire coming onboard for 2023.
Given the financial pressures Irish road racing faces this season following a massive increase in the cost of insurance, the support these major local businesses provide is more important than ever.”
Another reminder, Triangle course competition commences from the 9th-13th May.
New, aforementioned event sponsors Briggs Equipment will I’m sure be keeping a close eye on the progress of FHO Racing’s two-time NW200 winner, Peter Hickman.
Long-term ‘Hicky’ supporters, back in 2015, they title sponsored the future world’s fastest road racer’s international roads campaign, which culminated with success at the Ulster Grand Prix and Macau Grand Prix.
