Distinguished IRRC Supersport Competitor Schmitz Planning Manx GP Debut

Entry process success pending, distinguished IRRC Supersport competitor Christian Schmitz is hoping to take on a huge new challenge in August, competing for the first time at the Manx Grand Prix.

One of Germany’s leading roads exponents, the 2019 IRRC series saw him place an excellent third within the Supersport Championship standings.

On route to third place in the Championship, Schmitz banked top three class finishes at Hengelo, Imatranajo, Terlicko, Horice and his nations leading closed roads course Frohburger Dreieck.

Keen to further increase his already widely respected reputation within the pure roads scene, he feels it’s the right time to sample the world’s most famous roads circuit, the unparalleled Mountain Course.

As at all IRRC Supersport events in 2020, Schmitz’s prospective maiden Manx expedition is backed by loyal supporters the Laserscanning Europe Road Racing Team.

Providing he’s successful with his event entry, he has the core roads craft, proven talent to give an excellent account of himself at this year’s Manx GP which takes place in just over 200 days time.
