IRRC Superbike Championship runner-up David Datzer, has confirmed that he will join the Macau GP rider ranks next month.
Datzer’s first Guia Circuit expedition sees him compete for loyal backers MTP-Racing, piloting BMW tackle which boasts a distinctive turquoise blue, navy blue, white, pink livery.
Speaking via his Facebook page, the genial German racer known to many as ‘Datzii’, stated:
“We got an invitation for this year’s Macau GP a few weeks ago.
After a brief hesitation because of the quarantine regulations and preparation, I decided to participate in Macau after a call the next day from Rico Penzkofer and so I present to you the special design for the Macau GP today!
Many thanks to MTP-Racing and all the sponsors who accompany me.”
Datzer is the fifth racer to confirm his intention, to compete at the returning Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix, joining fellow prospective event newcomers Joey Thompson, WH Racing’s Julian Trummer, Paul ‘Potchy’ Williams and Dafabet Racing’s Rob Hodson.
