Dan Frear 400 lap record holder around Oliver’s Mount, is aiming for more iconic moments around the mount in 2016.
Dan is set to compete at all four meetings at Scarborough, the Bob Smith Spring Cup Road Races, Cock Of The North Road Races, Barry Sheene Road Race Festival and the prestigious Scarborough Gold Cup.
For all four meets he’s piloting NLC Components backed FZR 750 Yamaha, and a RMKD ZXR 400 Kawasaki.
Established as one of pure road racing’s leading competitors in 400 races, Dan will start as one of the firm pre race favourites for victories in the 400 class at the spring cup on the 16th to the 17th of April.
Alongside been the 400 lap record holder, further stand out performances from Dan at Oliver’s Mount include third position in the cock of the north feature race in 2013.
Plus in 2009 he won the opening David Jefferies Cup 600 heat, beating the likes of Ian Hutchinson, Guy Martin, John McGuinness and Michael Dunlop.
He has also showcased his pure road racing prowess around the Mountain Course. In 2011 he finished a fine fifth in the newcomers A race at the Manx Grand Prix, when competing on the McKinstry Racing R6 Yamaha.
2016 marks the 70th anniversary of pure road race action around Oliver’s Mount, Dan Frear has the proven pace, winning ability to one of the stars of what is set to be a huge year of competition at England’s only pure road race circuit.
