Post taking a commanding Allcomers Cup over 600cc race success, the corresponding Open Solos/Pre-Injection Open combined races would see the nine times top fifty TT finisher embroiled in captivating battles with Doncaster’s Mark Goodings.
Goodings bested his fellow Englishman in the opening class encounter whilst the second race circulation saw Daley emerge on top, by just over one second.
Third behind Goodings, Daley in both races was Classic TT winner Dominic Herbertson, who was having his first race outings aboard newly acquired S1000RR BMW machinery, which he plans to race at this year’s TT Races.
TT veteran Jim Hodson took Super Twin top three finishes, son Rob Hodson bagged a duo of overall yesteryear classic race triumphs.
The all-conquering Birchall brothers Ben & Tom cruised to opening three wheeling honours, Sam Johnson, Stephen Degnan, Nigel Rea accumulated consistent, solid finishes.
I end this article by focusing on twice Senior Manx Grand Prix runner-up Stephen Parsons.
Making a top draw return to racing, Parsons set to compete under the Wilcock Consulting team banner at TT 2022, finished second in both Formula 600 races.
Lots of people know what he has been through during the past year and one can’t but not have admiration for his determination, hunger, desire to get back in the saddle.
