New day, new positive news, something to hugely look forward to those who are huge fans of roads scene competition in the Republic of Ireland.
A press release, recently issued by the Loughshinny Motorcycling Supporters Club, discloses the upcoming inaugural Skerries 100 Sprint.
“Loughshinny Motorcycling Supporters Club are delighted to announce we will be bringing the spectacle, thrill, and excitement of motorsport back to Fingal with our event, the Country Crest Skerries 100 Sprint this coming July 2024.
The Club will run this event on the traditional Skerries 100 Road Race date Saturday 6th July. Alongside their yearly charity bike run through the town of Skerries on Friday the 5th of July, starting at 7.30pm.
The Skerries 100 Sprint course will use part of the present Skerries 100 circuit which has been used for many years. The start will be at the part of the course known as “Sam’s Tunnel” and will travel to Finnegans corner, and finish just past ‘Joeys Sweep” approximately 1.4km, with sprint direction anti-clockwise (left hand in).
The Country Crest Skerries 100 Sprint Official Press Launch will be held on the 17th of May at 7:30pm in the Hills Cricket Club. We hope to see you all there and thank you for your continued support.”
