One of the stars of the 2016 Mid Antrim 150 was Colin Stephenson.
Competing on VRS Racing’s YZF R6 Yamaha, the fourth place finisher in the 2013 super twins Manx Grand Prix, showed his proven ability on the roads, with series of top class performances.
The opening supersport race, saw him finish an excellent third, this was backed up by fifth place finish in the second supersport encounter and sixth in the open superbike race.
Blue riband race of the meeting the JFM Building Services grand final, would see another high quality result sewn up.
He finished in fourth place, gaining him the Victor Gilmore Trophy for finishing the leading supersport 600 mounted rider.

Commenting on his Facebook page, Colin said on what had been a great start to his 2016 roads campaign:
“Just gotta say a massive thanks to the Mid Antrim club for putting on a belting opening road race. Shame the weather couldn’t of shown it’s better side but that’s road racing!!
Special thanks to Davy Mccartney, Robbie Silvester and Andy Francey for all there hard work. Really looking forward to next year now!!!, Roll on the Tandragee 100!!!!!”
