Classic TT: Rutter Remains With Ripley Land Team, Rising Star McLean Joins Esteemed Outfit

Classic TT specialists Ripley Land Racing will once again have a strong, prominent presence on Manx shores in August, having secured the services of two competitors with vastly differing levels of experience on the fabled, mythical Mountain Course.

Linking up with the Ripley Land team for the sixth successive year, seven times TT winner Michael Rutter is confirmed to pilot 350 Drixton Honda machinery for Ian/Jayne Garbutt’s team.

Junior Classic TT winner in 2015 and 2017, eight times Macau GP champion Rutter despite now being considered an International roads veteran, remains ultra competitive and as proven with his performances at TT 2019, remains one of the world leading International Road Racers.

Team mate this August to SES TT Zero wins, lap record, race record holder Rutter, is one of Irish Road Racing’s fastest, most talented rising stars, Adam McLean.

Ruled out of TT 2019, having sustained multiple injuries, from an incident during the Super Twins race at the Around A Pound Tandragee 100, lead newcomer of TT 2017 McLean has stated since his desire to return to Mountain Course affiliated action, at the Classic TT.

Runner up in last year’s Dunlop Lightweight race, his upcoming second Classic TT tenure will see him compete on AJS 7R, 500 Seeley machinery in the four lap Junior, Senior races.

Not to be underestimated on yesteryear spec steeds, McLean alongside modern day era roads great Rutter provides Ripley Land Racing, with no question one of the strongest rider line up’s at the 2019 Classic TT Races.

Reminder competition for this year’s Isle of Man Festival of Motorcycling affiliated Classic TT Races, begins in just over 58 days time on the 17th of August.
