Chimay Open Trophy: Top 65 Quickest Racers

When combining lap times from IRRC Supersport/Superbike, BeNeLux Trophy, Super Twin races, over 60 racers lapped sub 1 minute 50 seconds during the past weekend’s competitive action around Circuit De Chimay.

Bested by Lukas Maurer in the IRRC Superbike races, likeable German competitor Didier Grams finished overall fastest racer from the meeting, thanks to a best lap time of 1 minute 37.787 seconds set during the second IRRC Superbike race.

Second fastest overall, almost a second down on Grams best time is aforementioned Swiss star Lukas Maurer (1.38.648) who is now the seventh speediest two wheel racing exponent at Chimay.

Others to register lap times below 1 minute 40 seconds were new fastest Dutch racer at Chimay, Joey Den Besten (1.38.826), Yan Ancia (1.39.074), Sander Classen (1.39.438), Marek Cerveny (1.39.554) and fellow multi IRRC Supersport Champion Laurent Hoffmann (1.39.827).

Finishing the top 10 paciest racers from the second Chimay based meeting of the 2020’s are Eddy Ferre (1.40.379), Performance Racing Achterhoek’s Virgil Amber Bloemhard (1.40.797) and Sweden’s Markus Karlsson (1.40.902).
