Chimay Open Trophy 2026: Noel’s Sportbike Double

Chimay Open Trophy 2026: Noel’s Sportbike Double

After scintillating competition, Seppe Noel scaled Chimay Open Trophy – IRRC Sportbike Race Two summit, getting the better of two times Manx Grand Prix victor Jamie Williams.

A ding-dong tussle to unlock the P1 initiative saw Williams lead on laps one, two and three, Noel take the lead on lap four, keep the advantage on lap five, Williams regain first on lap six, then Noel, setting a new IRRC Chimay – Sportbike lap-record (1.48.415), strike back in the following lap.

Despite Williams sterling efforts, Noel held on from here to take the victory by 0.489 of a second.

Wally Jacobs, who kept with Noel, Williams for the-majority of the race, dropped away in concluding laps, ending third, 1.952 behind twelve-plate carrier Noel.

Finalising the leader-board top six were Patrik Serbousek (Motoklub Vecna Jizda/AZ PNEU Mototeam powered by VK Racing – Aprilia), Quentin Limousin (2 LSB – Aprilia) and TMG21 Racing Team’s Thomas Wendel.
