Chawke Brothers Eyeing Up Respective TT, Manx GP Debuts

The hugely respected Chawke racing brothers James and Liam look both set to embark upon fresh, exciting, enterprising new challenges in 2019 with the duo eyeing up respective maiden TT, Manx GP tenures.

Elder of the brothers, current Junior Manx GP champion James Chawke, following his stellar Manx campaign in August has made the decision to move up to the TT Races next year.

Established amongst Ireland’s fastest rising roads stars, the amiable racer is planning to pilot next May/June, GSX-R 1000 Suzuki machinery, which he’s also hoping to tackle at the North West 200 and Ulster Grand Prix.

Younger brother Liam Chawke, runner up in this years Irish Road Race Junior Support, Senior Support championships, plans for 2019 include sampling for the first time a roads course unlike any other, the fabled Mountain Course.

Aiming to compete in the Manx Grand Prix, he unquestionably has the core roads talent, ambition and determination to gel well with the world famous Manx roads.

It’s great to see next generation roads competitors such as the Chawke brothers, forging ahead with their plans for the 2019 roads season.

Recently via their Facebook page, an announcement was made regarding the formation of the Chawkie Racing Supporters Club, which will allow race fans to play a formal part in the careers of two of Irish Road Racing’s most respected, highly touted improving exponents.
