Canny Enthused About First TT Assignment

Senior Manx Grand Prix winner Caomhan Canny, heads into his first TT Races assignment enthused about gaining a place within the world’s most famous road-race starting-list.

As previously reported on Road Racing News, the Irish rider’s TT 2026 equipment (Aprilia’s for 1000cc-Sportbike races/Suzuki – Supersport races) is via avid roads scene fan, sponsor Trevor Scott’s Scott Racing team.

Ramping up the testing miles during recent test stints on Spanish soil (at Andalucia), the ‘Tommy Club’ member is taking a glass half-full, relaxed, professional approach to 2026 TT affiliated competition.

“The aim was always the TT. Winning the Manx Grand Prix was a breakthrough, but the goal has always been to establish myself here and keep improving.

There are no expectations. Even completing the Senior TT would be a huge achievement. I am happy to ride at a pace I am comfortable with and keep learning.”

Trevor Scott, went onto add:

“Caomhan has shown what he is capable of around the Mountain Course. This is his first TT, but he has already demonstrated maturity and pace.

Our role is to provide the structure and support to allow him to progress in all classes.”
