In recent times part of the Dunlop Racing set up, Brigg’s Sam Johnson will embark upon a new challenge for the 2019 roads season, running his own team, which will be known as FR Racing.
Sixth within the 2014 Newcomers C Manx Grand Prix, last year saw former James Crumpton award winner Johnson delve into TT competition for the first time.
Planning to return this year to Manx shores, alongside TT 2019, additional plans for the season ahead include sampling again the hugely popular Southern 100.

Additionally aiming to compete at Armoy and the Ulster Grand Prix, the Michelin, JT Sprockets backed racer recently commented via Facebook following a successful testing session at Cadwell Park, on his 2019 plans.
“It’s been a long winter and been quiet re plans for this season. After a difficult 2018, the plan is going back to basics competing under my own set up, the FR racing banner.
Good day testing at Cadwell on the 600 felt good. After a couple of years cutting my teeth in Ireland, the plan is to do more short circuits this year and focus on the TT, Ulster GP, Armoy Road Races and the Southern 100.”
