By Brandon Cretu is confirmed to remain in the Bimota Racing team, for action at the North West 200, TT 2016 and Macau Grand Prix.
One of America’s leading figures on the roads over the last ten years, 2015 saw him secure series of highly creditable results with Bimota.
They included 19th place finish in the opening superbike race at the North West 200, plus thirty first place finish in the Pokerstars senior TT.
TT 2016 marks his seventh time competing at TT Races. Set to pilot again the BB3 Bimota, Brandon is confident of been in contention for many a top class result.
Commenting on the season ahead he said:
“2016 is shaping up to be my most exciting season yet! The Bimota BB3 is the best bike I’ve ever ridden on the roads and that showed last year through my results, especially at the TT where I finally blasted into the 120 mph club!
The roads, specifically the TT and Macau are where my heart lies, so saying I can’t wait would be an understatement!”
Bimota Racing team mate Ben Wylie set to begin his 2016 roads campaign, at the Spring Cup National Road Races at Oliver’s Mount, added:
“I’m excited to be riding the BB3 again this year. We learned so much throughout last season with the bike I had for the race at Macau being the best bike I’d ever ridden.
With that as a starting point for this season I’m confident of moving myself back up the order on the results sheets.”
Team owner Constantine Blias, stated on Bimota’s 2016 pure road racing ambitions:
“There has been a lot of work done on the bikes over the winter and we have found substantial improvements in both handling and performance which should translate to improved results.
After the success of the Bimota street bike display at last year’s TT we plan to take it to even more events this year.
It’s looking like a fun and exciting year for the Bimota team and I can’t wait for the racing to start!”
