European Hill Climb Superbike Champion Maurizio Bottalico, will ride for Ian Lougher’s Team ILR outfit in 2025, taking in Super Twin races on S1-R Paton tackle at the Briggs Equipment Northwest 200 and TT Races.
Hill climb racing royalty Bottalico, standing in roads scene circles has rapidly been boosted over recent times, following high calibre Manx Grand Prix tenures.
Notably he’s finished third, second in the most recent Junior race contests, when competing for previously aforementioned suitors ILR (Ian Lougher Racing) and Dafabet Racing.
Third on debut last year at the Mexican Cain Road Race (Superbike category winner), his current personal best Mountain Course lap speed (lapped quicker unofficially during practice) is 116.397 mph.
Whilst the fabled IOM roads are nothing new for the Italian in 2025, the Northwest 200’s home the Triangle will be.
He was hoping to make his NW200 debut this year with Basomba Racing, before injuries from a high-side incident in Austria, when sampling European Hill Climb competition at Landshaag ended this opportunity.
