New to Scarborough events this year, starting with this month’s Bob Smith Spring Cup is the CB 500 Honda class.
CB500 racing alumni include OMG Racing’s Ryan Vickers and fastest North West 200 newcomer in history, Richard Cooper.
FHO Racing’s Cooper was set to make his Scarborough racing debut next week but BSB commitments have altered plans.
Never the less, the diverse CB500 class entry still features ten Oliver’s Mount debutants.
They are the following:
Josh Corner, Nik Sweet, 46 plate holder Ricky Martin, Ste Sewell, Darron Bellworthy.
Liam McPherson, Richard Hughes, Dan Blades, Josh Andrews and 2021, 2022 Thundersport 500 Elite Champion Grant Whitaker.
It’s going to be intriguing to see how they fare against seasoned Scarborough operators including Don Gilbert, Aran Sadler and 2018 Junior Classic TT victor Dominic Herbertson.
With nothing in it power wise between the CB500 Honda’s, expect close, tight racing across the Spring Cup as a new chapter in Oliver’s Mount’s illustrious history opens.
