Blackford Financial Services will for the eighteenth year in succession, continue their role as lead sponsors of the Pre TT Classic Road Races in 2022.
Absent from the roads calendar since 2019 due to knock on effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, organisers are firmly optimistic that the traditional curtain raising TT Races festival event, will return in style next year.
Leading names to star across recent times at the Billown course based yesteryear racing extravaganza have included Jamie Coward, Rhys Hardisty, Dominic Herbertson, Alan Oversby, Bill Swallow, Mike Hose, Paul Jordan and 91 times Irish road race winner Barry Davidson.
Speaking recently about continuing to support the Pre TT Classic, Blackford Financial Services Ltd Managing Director Dave Smart stated:
“The Pre TT-Classic Races will be celebrating their 34th anniversary in 2022 and we are proud to have sponsored the event for over half of this period.
Now in our 18th year as title sponsor, we continue to feel privileged to be associated with both the Southern 100 Club and the event itself and we are grateful for the hard work and dedication put in by both the club and all those associated with the races in making the event such a truly remarkable occasion.
I would like to thank all the riders for their participation which continues to grow and ensures that the Pre TT Classic Races start the Isle of Man road racing season in a truly spectacular way.”
Southern 100 Racing Race Secretary, Club Chairman George Peach added:
“Southern 100 Racing are delighted that Blackford Financial Services are continuing as title Sponsor for the 2022 Pre-TT Classic Road Races, which will bring the number of years Dave Smart and his team have been involved to 20.
Joining an ever increasing list of long-time and loyal sponsors, which without them racing on the Colas Billown Course would be much the poorer.”
