Revealed at Imatranajo, there’s a new pure road racing team from Norway, with an emphasis on AI formulated technology to make road safety for everyday motorcyclists more proficient.
Titled Aware Moto Racing, the new project formed following a tie-up between Aware Moto, Dag Loe and Jul Johansen, sees Norway’s sole current Mountain Course speedster Erik Kjuus, at the control’s of YZF-R6 Yamaha tackle.
Speaking recently, Norwegian two-wheel racing adventurer Kjuus, who will return to IOM shores in August for the Manx Grand Prix, stated:
“It is difficult for most people to detect a poor setup before a dangerous situation arises, and then it is often too late.
For me as a road racer, it is really rewarding to be able to contribute my expertise to make the roads safer for motorcyclists.”
Aware Moto CEO Andreas Nergaard, added:
“Being able to take measurements under controlled, repetitive conditions is important for creating good AI-driven technology products.
In the new company, we will be able to gather unique data from high-speed races, and at the same time contribute to research projects that give us better insight into what we can measure. We believe this can help reduce the number of unnecessary accidents on the road.”
