By As in Open/Senior Open qualifying, the Supersport timed practice session of the 59th Tandragee 100 saw the two Derek’s, McGee and Sheils, embroiled in another high quality battle, to be top of the time sheets.
Underling again the potential of his ex Gearlink Kawasaki steed, it was Duke Road Race Rankings champion McGee (3.02.854), who had the edge, outpacing Sheils (3.05.850) to the tune of nigh on three seconds.

Mullingar’s McGee, unquestionably the standout racer from today’s qualifying sessions, went onto dominate the 125/Moto 3 qualifying session, finishing closing in on 15 seconds quicker than nearest challenger, Gary Dunlop.
McGee almost additionally secured Super Twins/Super Mono pole position, only to be outpaced by just over 0.2 of a second, by McAdoo Kawasaki’s Adam McLean.

The yesteryear machinery classes, which provide a mix of evoking memories from years gone by, great sounds a plenty, and a chance to see many absolutely priceless bikes up close, timed practice sessions were topped by Gareth Keys (Forgotten Era), Brian Mateer (Junior Classic 250).
Supersport 300 class pole sitter Barry Davidson (Junior Classic 350), Richard Ford (Senior Classic 1000) and overall Classics pace setter John Leigh Pemberton (Senior Classic 500).
Lightweight 400 qualifying spoils went the way of Darryl Anderson, whilst the Junior Support, Senior Support time sheets were headed respectively by Vinny Brennan and Andy McAllister.
