Significant Armoy Road Races news this morning, as the latest event instalment gains live coverage similar to the Northwest 200 via BBC Sport Northern Ireland.
The Greenlight Television produced footage is available to watch on BBC Sport Northern Ireland’s official website and iPlayer (BBC).
Issuing his delight to the news of impending live streaming of Armoy races including the much coveted ‘Race of Legends’, AMRRC (Armoy Motorcycle Road Racing Club) Chairman, Gareth McAuley stated:
“This will give road racing fans access to one of the most popular events in the calendar. This is a fantastic development for the Armoy Road Races and something that the Club is very proud of.
Our supporters are extremely passionate, travelling from all over Ireland, the United Kingdom and beyond to enjoy watching some of the sport’s best riders tackle the three-mile circuit, and now, thanks to BBC Sport NI’s live coverage, those from around the world that can’t make the event in person will be able to watch and enjoy the thrill of road racing.
We’re gearing up for a busy two days and we’re grateful to Greenlight Television and BBC Sport NI for bringing it to fruition as a pilot this year.”

Reminder, competition commences tomorrow with practice/qualifying sessions, then should all go to plan, two races, 7-lap Super Twins/Super Mono, Supersport (Next Generation) encounters, set to feature to name but a-few:
Michael Browne, Dominic Herbertson, Jamie Coward, Conor Cummins, Michael Sweeney, Paul Jordan, newcomers Imatranajo ‘King Pin’ Erno Kostamo, Joe Yeardsley, Jonathan Perry, and Cowton Racing’s Franco Bourne.
